Raven McKee LPC-Associate
(she/her)
Hey Peeps!
I’m Raven, an LPC-Associate specializing in sex therapy and sexuality-related concerns. I believe therapy is a space where you can show up as your most authentic self and talk openly about the parts of yourself, your relationships, and your sexuality that you may not always feel comfortable discussing elsewhere.
When you come to therapy you don’t need to have all the answers. You don’t need to know exactly what’s wrong or have a five-step plan for fixing it. We can start wherever you are.
Whether you're struggling with the intersectionality of neurodivergence and intimacy, exploring your sexuality, navigating relationship dynamics, processing sexual trauma, sexual experiences, or trying to better understand yourself, I want therapy to be a place you can show up as your holistic self. My hope when working together is that we will be able to create a space where you feel comfortable to collaborate with me in a nonjudgmental space where it is okay to ask yourself questions about what you’re experiencing and work together towards what you want for yourself.
I will probably ask a lot of questions, not because I expect you to have all the answers, but because I’m genuinely curious about your experiences. I want to understand the world from your perspective rather than making assumptions about what your relationship, sexuality, or experiences should look like.
My particular interest is working with neurodivergent clients and exploring how neurodivergence can intersect with sexuality, relationships, communication, sensory experiences, and intimacy. I believe that differences in how we communicate, connect, experience our bodies, or navigate relationships do not automatically need to be “fixed”. Sometimes they need to be better understood, accommodated, or approached from a different perspective.
I also enjoy working with people who are exploring kink, BDSM, or consensual non-monogamy. I have been involved in the kink community for over a decade and have continued learning through community involvement, events, classes, travel, and extensive reading. This experience informs my approach, while my role as a therapist remains focused on helping you explore your own experiences, needs, boundaries, and goals.
My Specializations
“ We’re all stories in the end. Just make it a good one.”
- The 11th Doctor
I read a lot. When I’m not reading, you can probably find me relaxing with reruns of Doctor Who or Stargate, watching a Hayao Miyazaki film, or getting absorbed in an anime. I also really enjoy working out and keeping my body moving; physical activity helps keep me calm and gives my brain somewhere to put all of its energy.
I’m a firm believer that making space for yourself isn’t selfish, but necessary. Sometimes self-care is a quiet afternoon, sometimes it’s movement, or getting lost in a fictional world for a few hours. Those things help me recharge and being intentional about that helps me show up as the therapist I want to be.
And if you decide to work with me, you may discover that my nerdy side occasionally makes its way into therapy, too.
I tend to learn a lot from the stories and world I enjoy, and those lessons sometimes overlap with the work we do together. You may hear an occasional Doctor Who reference or a little Stargate.
I also really like animals-especially reptiles- so if you have a fluffy friend or a scaly one, please feel free to let them join the session and be a part of your healing journey.
